GUIDELINES AND CONDITIONS:
Please read before signing application1. Application
Your application is made Explorers Academy - Globetrotterskolen Online, a registered division of 3W Online Interactive Cmnmunications Ltd, which is the manager for Explorers Academy Globetrotterskolen, a non-profit educational institution offering courses in tourism, service, teambuilding and leadership on the Internet and at Le Village Catalan, F-66820 Vernet-les-Bains, France and at other locations.
2. Confirmation:
We will confirm your placement, if your application is accepted, once we have received your duly completed and signed application form. At present no regsitration fee is required, however registration fees may be introduced for future applicants.
3. Payment:
A deposit on account, specified on the application form, is payable at the time of acceptance of your application. The course fee is payable 30 days prior to the starting date of the course. If you apply less than 30 days prior to the starting date, the full amount is payable at the time of acceptance of your application. Bank transfer details are stated i your confirmation letter. You may also pay by personal cheque or bankers draft in USD, GBP, EUR and DKK.
4. If you cancel:
The deposit is not refundable in case you cancel. If you cancel more than 30 days before the starting date of the course, any moneys paid in excess of the deposit will be refunded. If you cancel less than 30 days before the starting date, a refund may be made at the discretion of Explorers Academy, equivalent to the cost of non-delivered course materials and any prepaid travel costs and meals. If you do not pay your balance at the specified time, we reserve the right to cancel your placement.
5. If Explorers Academy cancels:
If we cancel the course all payments will be refunded in full, but we shall not be liable to refund you any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your placement. We shall not cancel the course less than 15 days before the starting date unless we are forced to do so due to war, civil or political unrest, natural disasters or what is known as "force majeure".

6. Communications:
The distance learning courses will primarily run on the web and via email. It is your responsibility to maintain a current email address and connect to the Internet at regular intervals during the course. Limited faculty telephone support will be available for students. Your own Internet connect charges and the cost of calls are not covered by the course fees.
7. Time frame:
The time frame indicated reflect the faculty's plan for the student to spend the assigned number of hours and weeks to complete the course. But the nature of online learning offer a great degree of flexibility, and you can take the courses at your own pace, faster or slower. However, you are expected to complete the program within double the assigned time, unless there are particular reasons to further extend the course period. If you do not complete a course within the extended time frame, Explorers Academy is free to consider the remainder of the course cancelled.
8. Certificate/Diploma:
Upon satisfactory completion of a course and an exam for each course with a minimum 80%, you are entitled to an Explorers Academy certificate or diploma.

9. Activity flexibility:
The philosophy of adventure travel is one which allows alternatives and a certain degree of flexibility. The outline of the course activities must therefore be taken as an indication of what each group should accomplish, and not as a contractual obligation on the part of Explorers Academy. Changes may be caused by weather conditions or other unforeseeable circumstances.
10. Authority:
On an adventure course it is necessary that you abide by the authority of the instructor. Signing the application form signifies your agreement to this, and if you commit any illegal act during the course or if in the opinion of the instructor your behaviour is detrimental to the safety and welfare of the group as a whole, the instructor may ask you to leave the course without any right to refund.
11. Complaints:
If you have any complaints, you should make it known to the instructor, who will normally be able to take appropriate action. If at the end of the course you feel that your complaint has not been property dealt with, we shall do our best to agree on a settlement with you, provided that you notify us in writing within 30 days of the end of the course.
12. Liability and insurance:
It is obligatory that you are covered by travel insurance, which must include cover for medical expenses, the cost of repatriation and personal liability. We will accept liability for the negligence of our own employees causing direct physical injury to course participants only to the extent we are obliged to do so by law, and limited to the extent of our liability insurance. We have taken all reasonable steps to safeguard our liability, but you should be aware that while undertaking certain adventure sports activities you may not be covered by our policy in case of death or injury, and you are therefore advised to cover yourself against any possible risk that may occur. If you choose to take part in any of the adventure activities connected with the course, you realise that there may be hazards involved, including injury, loss or damage of property, inconvenience and discomfort, and that you take part in such activities at your own risk.
13. Acceptance:
When you sign the application form you agree to accept all these conditions, and when we accept your application we agree to carry out our obligations to you as defined in the course information.
14. Jurisdiction:
This agreement shall be subject to Danish law and the place of venue shall be a Danish court.Conditions revised February 2001
