Since most tourists are attracted by the long beaches, this rocky coastline hides a number of unspoilt bays and coves, small beaches and the only nature reserve which covers both sea and land.
It also includes a world famous area for scuba diving, it is considered the best place in the Mediterranean to observe underwater life, and there are secret bays which you can only reach by snorkelling, kayak or a small boat. Others are reachable on foot, and if you enjoy hiking there are several itineraries along the coast or across the Pyrenees to the sea.
Of course there are also towns and villages with all the tourist facilities you would want, including a choice of fine restaurants (in the season), within reach. Prices: The cost depends on the type of accommodation and the number of people. Price range from around 350 Euros per week for 2-4 persons in a self-catering cottage or shared villa, activities not included.
